Amy of magnolia danes sold me a puppy, to begin with the transaction was wonderful, she even told me my puppy was the pick of the litter.

before he was even shipped i had asked about little pustules on his face- i know that these are usually caused by staph infections with the possibility of being a demodex carrier, she swore up and down it was nothing but the humidity in mississippi.

he had it when he got off the plane home and it progressively got worse, he went through three rounds of antibiotics and skin scrapings and each time was told it was staph infection. she blamed it on his new environment, on me and my cleaning habits and eventually said it was caused by health issues in my other dogs(who are all very healthy)

a couple months ago he began getting spotty and loosing hair mostly around his neck but throughout his body. we found out that he has staph hypersensitivity, basically he is allergic to his own bacteria. he is to be fixed and never bred as he can pass this on to his offspring.

since contacting her about it she has placed blame on everything she can think of and accused me of not caring about him, and told me that any blue puppy in the history of great danes could likely have this not just hers(when she bred her "acne" male on purpose, when most good breeders would not, and did not include that information until a year and a half later).

i offered her a chance to take him back and place him in a pet home because he needs to be someones sole focus(i have two other youngster danes) and she accused me of taking on too much and not having time for him and "washed her hands" of us!! I love him but i was trying to do what was best for him when contacting her, rather than being 1/4 of someones life. so i said fine, that i would find him a good pet home as an only dog.

now she has decided to be vindictive, stating that none of her other puppies had this and if I am questioning her lines i am questioning the breeders she got her danes from when my only purpose was to ask for help. now she is trying to forcefullly take him after "washing her hands of us" with no return of funds or replacement puppy.

i would never use this breeder again, nor would i recommend her.
