  • Huge deception

I purchased a Toy poodle that is now one year old. She's 14 inches tall and weighs 12 lbs. Her advertisement claimed both her parents were between 4-6 lbs. I'm demanding a refund because obviously she is a Miniature, not a Toy. The breeder where she came from needs to be shut down. They didn't even know how to remove the dewclaws correctly. I was so totally ripped off. I'm disabled and it was so important for me to have a very small dog. I'm so disgusted with this place...DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A DOG THROUGH THIS CARELESS COMPANY. More...

  • Magnolia Danes, Genetic staph hypersensitivity

Amy of magnolia danes sold me a puppy, to begin with the transaction was wonderful, she even told me my puppy was the pick of the litter. before he was even shipped i had asked about little pustules on his face- i know that these are usually caused by staph infections with the possibility of being a demodex carrier, she swore up and down it was nothing but the humidity in mississippi. he had it when he got off the plane home and it progressively got worse, he went through three rounds of antibiotics and skin scrapings and each time was told it was staph infection. she blamed it on his new... • Premature spaying of puppy

We purchased a beautiful Havanese female. She arrived in good condition and we have fallen in love with her. When we read her medical care in regard to sending her to us we saw that she had already been spayed. This is a cruel thing to do to a very young animal. The earliest she should have been spayed is at 6 months of age. I would even go so far as to say this is animal abuse and cruelty. This has set her up for several problems due to insufficient estrogen production including incontinence, which she has at this time. She is being treated for a mild UTI and we are hoping this will take... More...

  • Message Center

I am truly disappointed with the phone call I had with (Mr. X)- I am not revealing his name because it's pointless. I was very much interested in purchasing a beautiful puppy on PUREBRED BREEDERS.COM. I spoke to Mr.X and waned to know why I had not heard back from the "Breeder"?. On the website it indicates a section where a perspective buyer can leave a question for the "Breeder". I was told the questions are sent to "PUREBRED BREEDERS.COM. and NOT to the "Breeder". PUREBRED BREEDERS.COM (which to me sounds more like a Message Center)are... More...

  • Encinas Rottweilers

We purchased Harley, an 8 week old puppy from Encinas Rottweiler%u2019s on April 12, 2014 and on April 15, 2014 we were at the vet. The puppy was very sick from day one. The puppy had diarrhea. Breeder said that this is common when they are moved. The puppy was deathly sick. I have a book of documentation proving the dog was sick. Melissa stated she sold me a healthy puppy, however the vet states a different story. I could not return the puppy due to she was in Mexico on an extended vacation. Melissa refused to replace the puppy when she died less than a year old because she stated... More...

  • Purebred Breeders is exceptional

The process and the detailed information provided makes a new dog owner feel comfortable and trustworthy in the program, even when the dog is out of state and you never have a chance to see the dog in person. Regular email communication and phone calls guide you through every step of the way. The overall service and program was exceptional and I would recommend to my friends they use you when considering a dog. More...

  • Caution: Unknown Qualifications of Breeders

I suggest caution in dealing with Purebred Breeders. Strike #1: They refuse to identify the breeder, other than by first name, or allow you to know if the breeder has a web site. They claim they are %u201Cprotecting%u201D their breeders. In my experience, they did arrange a call with someone claiming to be the breeder, but I had no idea who I was talking to and I had no way to independently assess their experience. Read any creditable book on how to select a puppy and the most important rule: Know Your Breeder! You cannot know the breeder with this company, and you CANNOT independently... More...

  • Great Puppy, Great Service

I ordered my puppy and then panicked because of the negative reviews...and then I searched and searched and tried to read every single thing about this company available on the internet. There were several year old claims of puppy mills, people disappointed with the size of their puppies (really, if you are going to negatively review a company because a living creature grew differently than expected, I really have no words). Needless to say, a 10 year company with this few complaints after selling 70,000 plus pets is doing pretty good. My experience went well, from the puppy counselor that... More...

  • Only care about $$$$

I am a breeder and only sold one puppy with them but will never list another. It was very obvious they were more concerned about making money than the wellbeing of the puppy. Would not let me have any contact with the new owner and was shorted money and told it was too late the sale had been made. They have ignored me since I sent the puppy on the airline and will still not return my e-mails. More...

  • Purebred breeders is fantastic

I was very skeptical buying a puppy on line. I do not want to support puppy mills. I'm happy to say I picked up my German Shepherd from the air port and she was and is amazing. There was a hand written note from the breeder. I called her to let her know I received the pup and to let her know a little about me and my family. This woman lives on a farm and breeds shepherds. I googled her and it all checked out. I took my dog to the vet the next day and the vet said this is a very healthy dog. She has been wonderful, happy, and easy to train. Purebred Beeders delivered on their promise,... More...

  • Definitely on my list for future purchases

After the death of my three dogs I swore that I would never have puppies again. It hurt too much. But while looking at Purebred Breeders for a pup for my daughter my heartstrings started pulling again making me realize how lonely I was without a little furry friend in my life. That is where little Kaiya came in!!! Allie was so helpful in my search. I wanted a female that was small. She pointed me in the right direction. The whole process took about 15 minutes and the next week I had my puppy. I purchased my daughters puppy 2 days later, and have since purchased another one for my other... More...

  • They are idiots!

My boyfriend and I recently purchased a puppy off of purebred breeders.com. We were told that the puppy would come fully vaccinated and that he needed to see a vet within 48 hours of receiving him. We took him to the vet and weren't able to give any vaccine information because the breeder hadn't sent any with the puppy. We had to call purebred breeders and wait 20 minutes just to find out that all the puppy had received to be claimed "fully vaccinated" were a ton of dewormers! The puppy also has an abscess on his side because the stupid breeder doesn't know how to... More...

  • Puppy not received as described

I purchased a Westie through Purebred Breeders vs. getting one locally because I wanted the health guarantee and she was to be a gift for a friend who had wanted one for years. I was told they screen the breeders, do home visits, make sure the puppies aren't from puppy mills, etc,. I would be getting that pup you see on the commercials. Clean, white, with a bow in her hair....NOT what I got. They charged ME "the buyer" a fee to go pick up the dog- a 2.5 hour drive! Then when confronted offered only a PetsMart gift card as partial credit- no thanks- I want my money back!!! The... More...

  • Breeder, Sherry McCoy, MO

In December, 2013 I purchased a Boxer puppy from Mrs. Sherry McCoy, through Purebred Breeders.com at the cost of $2095.00. I have cared for dogs of all breeds since I was a child and the Boxer breed specifically since 1973. I have had Boxers from local breeders and from Boxer Rescue organizations during this time period and have trained everyone of them successfully, as far as adapting to life with a human and behaving in an orderly and consistent manner. Some of the rescue dogs came to me with "issues" due to abuse they experienced prior to my adopting them, but I was able to... More...

  • Incorrect description and breeder not truthful

I purchased a puppy from Purebred Breeders.com. The description was they had a snow white puppy like his daddy. They had a picture of the puppy setting and he looked snow white. THey had a few more pictures with the light looking amber color so couldn't see more of the dog. I asked the person if he was pure white and I was told he was. When I received him he was a cream color not snow white. I also had to drive 160 miles to pick up the puppy. I was supposed to be there Saturday at 6 pm. I was there and received a call about 3 or 4 hours after the puppy should have been on the... More...

  • not honoring verbal contract

Saturday before last, I ordered an 8 week old puppy named Titan on the phone from Dennis. I asked him if the puppies parents had been checked for hip dysplasia and though I'd read online the puppies got health checks, I asked if he had his shots. Dennis said that all their breeders checked for genetic issues including hip dysplasia, he was up to date on his shots and was ready to go and that he'd be delivered Tuesday. After rearranging my schedule, Monday I was contacted and told Titan NEEDED his shots and would not be able to travel until Thursday. Wednesday, I was called and... More...

  • They worry you to death!

As a breeder, they call me almost every day sometimes more than once. When it came time to send the puppy to a new home, they require so much (pages and pages of instruction) you'd have to be a professor or a lawyer to make sense of it all much less remember it all. I would not recommend using them unless you have a lot of free time on your hands. They will run you back and forth to the vet unnecessarily at your expense. More...

  • A middleman that is not needed

I setup an account for to sell puppies for my parents on purebred breeders. They raise dogs but don't have time to advertise the puppies. When working with purebred breeders I found that the descriptions of the puppies were generically given to the puppies and that if the description conflicted with the personality I had to change it. I setup the flights take pictures and run whenever they ask for new pictures. Basically all purebred breeders do is talk to the customer and for they double the cost of the puppy. My experience with purebred breeder was good for the first puppy sold but... More...

I found the folks at Purebred Breeders very easy to deal with and my puppy is great. I read some of these reviews prior to my purchase but knowing that anybody can say anything on the internet decided to go ahead with getting the puppy my wife and I had chosen. If any of these negative reviews are even half true it seems the company has made a lot of positive changes and the breeders they work with or of a higher quality and the checks and balances in place to ensure a healthy puppy arrives to each family are working. My family couldn't be happier!

I recieved my Chihuaha Montie from PureBreed and he arrived fine. He was paper trained and very loving he plays well with our Bulldog Rock and is a member of the family after only 3 weeks. My wife calls him the devil, but that is because he is a puupy. He arrived healthy and the Vet said he was a prime example of the breed. No problems call it luck I guess. We have had other Chihuahas and they have had their problems bad knees and napoleon temper , but we loved them. Montie is a rare treat we found and he did come with papers AKC. I did notice his grandfather was also his great granfather on the mother side. A little inbreeding, but acceptable by AKC standards.I am not saying Purebreed is the way to go for everyone, but once in a while you can get lucky if you do your home work with them. They delivered on what they promised me. Sorry for anyone who has had a bad experence.

BEWARE!!!! of Purebredbreeders.com aka Buypuppiesdirect.com They are a scam company!!! I am a reputable breeder who used them until I learned they are LIARS & Frauds!!!! I have been told many heartbreaking stories by puppy buyers who have been sold sick puppies or defrauded. I no longer list my puppies with the scam company. They charged $3100 for puppy give breeder $1800 and keep the profit of $1300 commission for themselves (for talking to the customer) Buyer's you can buy the same puppy for just $1800 direct from the reputable breeder! Just try to talk to them after they have your signed contract and money..... it won't happen! You are just a number. They don't care about you. They lied to several of my clients about me. Even forced a client to change puppies... lying saying my puppy had a level 4 heart murmur... which was a lie. My puppy is 100% healthy. This company goes by several different names, they even change their phone number to make it look like they are local in your state to the buyers. As a seller/breeder they try to get you to ship your puppy before they pay you. They screw the buyers and sellers every chance they get. Oh and lifetime guarantee... load of crap... just talk to clients who have tried to use their guarantee. PBB / BPD just won't call you back. Your call will never make it past their receptionist who are trained to micro manage the caller. Don't get ripped off. You can find the same puppy listed for much less on sites like puppyfind.com or nextdaypets.com. Research research research before choosing a puppy! Buy your puppy direct from a loving, respectable breeder! otherwise you are paying too much and getting scammed by a middle man!

I got my teacup Pomeranian said she had championship blood lines, she almost died the first night! She couldn't walk, so weak. Rushed her to my 24hr vet was hooked up to iv's for over a week! My vet told me she was from a puppy mill!! I was heart broken! This was the only dog I had ever bought, had one as a child and loved it to death. All my other dogs and cats are rescues. This is the type of thing I'm totally against was so angry with these people! I called them to let them know that she was from a mill and they disagreed, I asked are you a vet? No they said but we check out all of their animals housing and where they come from. I said well obviously one slipped by, because my vet who is a doctor and you are not said she was a result of a puppy mill! She still kept disagreeing . I didn't want to hear it anymore so got off the phone. My belle needs a totally knee replacement and has hip display. She is 2! I love her more then anything, but this people need to be stopped at any cost! Adopt or by from local breeders this is not the only horror story. Please stop buying animals off the Internet !

I was looking for a dog and first went to the spca. the let me adopt a dog that had been abused and i have a small child at home so i quickly took it back. I got turned off to the spca and decided to look for a puppy. I came across the purebredbreeders.coom site that had a cute puppy that was just what i wanted. I went thru the process and purchaesed this dog thinking that the "lifetime guarantee, and testimonials made this place legitimate. I started to look up the site and found multple complaints about puppies and health issues.

A few days later i got a call from the company and they told me my puppy had some issues with earmites and that it probably picked it up from other dogs. and then they listed the medicine that was given to it. The medicine that they used had not been tested or recommended for dogs but only for cats. I know it may not be a big deal to some but it didn't sit well form me and i canceled my order. I had two calls after that to convince me that the medicine is used by all vets and it is common. Not to get personal but i work at a place that does cutting edge research and checked a little bit more about the medicine and as it stated. To be used for cats and are not responsible for use in dogs. I explained to the second caller my profession and i was told that i was speaking to a scientist that has worked with animal for 14 years. I am not sure hat happened in life and not saying anything about this young lady but if you have a science degree and your doing telemarketing for a place that has had major issues with puppies then to each thier own but im not going to be a part of it. I called my cc and told them about this and they are disputing any charge over the 500$ that is non refundable. I could probably fight that but it would probably cost me more than the money. Im just happy i saved my self somewhat on having to pay out more down the road. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! At this point i am not sure where to get a pet from. maybe build a bear or something.

Shelties for $1400? And $1700? HELLO--you can get a show quality purebred sheltie for at the most $750-$800! That's a big sign right there they are breeding for money, not for the love of dogs! Stay away! A lot of show breeders have pet companions available and will have all the right testing down so you're not paying $$$$ later for medical bills.

Google breeders and do research!

I purchased a German Shepherd puppy through them for $1750 not including tax, etc. When she was 9 months old, started vomiting and having diahhrea. Vet did exploratory surgery, nothing. Turns out she has EPI - Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency, which is more common in GSDs than other breeds, but not that common. We spent almost $2,000 finding out what was wrong. We can get $850 back (1/2 the cost) or choose another puppy. Only I don't get returned calls to find out the store credit for another puppy!

I purchased 2 dogs from this company and have nothing but good things to say. The puppies arrived with everything! The breeders they use seem to really care about the puppies. Both of them were potty trained already. Great guarantee too.
